Gangster Atiq's aide Biryani dies of cardiac arrest

Nafees Biryani, a close aide and financier of late gangster Atiq Ahmad, has passed away while undergoing treatment at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital. He was being held at Naini Central Jail under judicial custody but was admitted to the hospital due to deteriorating health. Preliminary findings suggest he suffered a heart attack. Nafees Biryani was a wanted criminal with a reward on his head in a triple murder case. Panchayatnama and postmortem procedures are underway. Gangster Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmad were fatally shot by assailants in April.
