UNSC facing 'crisis of credibility', says India in renewed call for reform

India has reiterated the need for reforms in the United Nations, stating that the organization's core body, the UN Security Council, has become ineffective. India's permanent ambassador at the UN, Ruchira Kamboj, called for comprehensive reforms to restore the UN's credibility. She emphasized the importance of trust and solidarity in achieving peaceful resolutions of disputes. Kamboj also highlighted the majority support from the Global South for expanding the Security Council's membership.
