Gaza truce expires; Israel intercepts rocket, reports of fighting

The temporary truce between Israel and Gaza's Hamas militants has expired without an extension. Israel intercepted a rocket fired from Gaza, and sirens warning of rockets sounded in Israeli areas near Gaza. There was no immediate comment from Hamas or claim of responsibility for the launches. Qatar and Egypt have been making efforts to extend the truce. Israel had set the release of 10 hostages a day as the minimum requirement to pause its ground assault.
