Sarsanghchalak of the RSS Dr. Mohanraoji Bhagwat will be the chief guest at the Golden 70th Year program of BMS

New Delhi:- Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh - BMS will commemorate the glorious completion of its 70-year journey with a grand event on 23rd July 2025 at the K.D. Jadhav Wrestling Hall, Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi. The Chief Guest on this occasion will be Parampujniya Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat Ji. Union Minister Mansukhbhai Mandaviya as the Guest of Honour.
The journey of BMS began on 23rd July 1955 in Bhopal, and to mark this historic milestone, the 70-year celebrations were formally launched on 23rd July 2024, also from Bhopal. The labour leader emphasized that BMS is not merely limited to struggles for Pay, Perks and Promotion, but also acknowledges its social responsibilities. Accordingly, BMS has long been working on three core areas—Environment, Social Harmony, and Swadeshi. On this occasion, two additional themes—Kutumb Prabodhan and Nagrik Kartavya—have been incorporated into its framework. Starting August, BMS organized a five-month-long lecture series at the district level across the country, focusing on these five themes to generate widespread public awareness among its members and society at large. From December onwards, Shramik Sampark was carried out among workers, followed by the organization of Women’s and Youth Conferences at the district level in February–March 2025, which saw enthusiastic participation from women and young workers.
Mr. Pandya also mentioned that BMS-affiliated unions expanded significantly across the country, with the establishment of numerous new unions among various sectors. He further informed that dignitaries attending the event will include the Director of the International Labour Organization (India), officials from the V.V. Giri National Labour Institute, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Chief Labour Commissioner’s Office, Members of Parliament, and senior leaders of other Trade Unions. The employer representatives of various organisations will also attend. On this auspicious occasion, BMS will also felicitate several of its senior activists, including: Smt. Geeta Gokhale (Mumbai), Shri Hansubhai Dave (Rajkot), Shri Sama Balreddy (Hyderabad), Shri Vasant Pimplapure (Nagpur), Shri Amarnath Dogra (Delhi), Sardar Kartar Singh Rathore (Punjab), Haji Akhtar Hussain (Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh), Shri Mahesh Pathak (Railways, Delhi) and several other senior karyakartas. There will be special launches and presentations like Karyakarta Data application, Introduction of a digital platform for efficient worker data management and enhanced internal communication. A 3 minutes’ documentary film depicting concise yet impactful audio visual presentation highlighting the legacy and milestones of BMS over the past seven decades and launching special issue of weekly organiser also.
