Gaza war to continue for at least two more months, says Israel defence minister
The four-day ceasefire between Israel and Hamas will commence Friday, but experts predict that fighting will intensify for at least two months after a short pause. Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant announced that the military campaign will resume with intensity and troops are expected to organize, investigate, and resupply arms during the respite. A hostage release deal mediated by the US and Qatar will result in the release of 50 Israeli women and children, while Israel will release 150 Palestinian prisoners.
