US, Israel discuss 'different phase' of war
US NSA Jake Sullivan met Israeli mnister of strategic affairs Ron Dermer to discuss shifting to a different phase of the Israel-Hamas war. They also talked about steps to improve the humanitarian situation in war-torn Gaza and minimize harm to civilians. The meeting aimed to maximize focus on high-value Hamas targets and address the dire shortages faced by Gaza's 2.4 million people. The UN Security Council recently passed a resolution calling for aid to be delivered to the Gaza Strip at scale.
