1st Test: Rohit Sharma slammed for bizarre tactics on Day 2

Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri criticized captain Rohit Sharma's on-field strategies during the ongoing red-ball series against South Africa. Sharma chose to bowl Shardul Thakur and Prasidh Krishna after lunch instead of Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah, which surprised Shastri and other commentators. Shastri mentioned that in his time as coach, India would always start a session with their two best bowlers. Former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar also felt that India missed an opportunity by not allowing Bumrah and Siraj to open the second session.
