RBI Observe Financial Literacy Week 2024

New Delhi :- Reserve Bank of India, Delhi is observing Financial Literacy Week from February 26 – March 01, 2024  as a part of nationwide campaign, to propagate financial education messages on the theme of "Make a Right Start: Become Financially Smart" with the focus on sub-themes; Saving and Power of Compounding, Banking Essentials for Students and Digital and Cyber Hygiene. The inaugural event was organized on February 26, 2024 at New Delhi. The program was presided by Sh. Rohit P. Das, Regional Director, RBI New Delhi. Shri Das stated that this year Financial Literacy Week was focused on youth who are just beginning to navigate the complexities of personal finance. Equipping young adults with financial literacy skills enables them to make informed decisions about managing their money, setting financial goals and planning for the future.

During this week, banks will disseminate financial literacy and awareness messages amongst their customers and general public. Various Financial Literacy camps and magic shows are planned across Delhi. Further, financial awareness messages on the theme of the Financial Literacy week will be displayed at metro stations. Mr. B.P. Mahapatra, Executive Director, Punjab National Bank; Sh. Ravi Mehra, Executive Director, Punjab & Sind Bank, Sh. Anubrata Biswas, MD & CEO, Airtel Payments Bank, Sh. Vaseeharan SS, General Manager, NABARD and Smt. Aditi Gupta, DGM, Financial Inclusion & Development Department, Controlling Heads of Commercial Banks and Lead District Managers participated in the program. During the program, posters & videos on the theme of the event were released by the dignitaries. Make a Right Start: Become Financially Smart will be followed by Indians.
