Another Quad member backs India's UNSC bid
Australia has become the latest country to back India for a permanent United Nations Security Council (UNSC) seat. Australia foreign minister Penny Wong has said that there is a need to ensure greater permanent representation with the inclusion of countries like India and Japan. Earlier, during his recent visit to India, US President Joe Biden reiterated support for India’s bid for a permanent seat at the UN Security Council.
