Biden refuses to grant some of the conditions that 9/11 defendants were seeking in plea negotiations
President Joe Biden has rejected some of the conditions proposed by the defendants' lawyers in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks plea bargain. Biden's refusal leaves it up to military prosecutors and defense lawyers to reach an agreement. The proposed terms would have the Guantanamo detainees plead guilty and serve life sentences instead of facing the death penalty.
