Embassy of Myanmar and GTTCI Unveil Vibrant Myanmar Trade Showcase
New Delhi :- Embassy of Myanmar, in collaboration with the Global Trade & Technology Council (India) (GTTCI) and other trade organisations, proudly presented the Myanmar Trade Showcase to celebrate the occasion of 75 years of Diplomatic Relations between India & Myanmar on December 23, 2023, at the Embassy of Myanmar in New Delhi. The event served as a platform for fostering bilateral trade relations and cultural exchanges between Myanmar and India. The trade showcase boasted an impressive array of more than 20 displays representing businesses and companies from Myanmar, accompanied by the participation of eight esteemed Indian companies. This collaborative effort showcased the diverse and rich tapestry of trade opportunities existing between the nations.
The highlight of the showcase was the unveiling of the exquisite Myanmar Coffee table book and calendar, commemorating the cultural and commercial ties shared between the nations. Additionally, the event marked the grand inauguration of the GTTC India Myanmar Forum by His Excellency Mr. Moe Kyaw Aung, Ambassador of Myanmar, alongside esteemed dignitaries: Chief Guest Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of State, Ministry of External Affairs & Culture, Government of India; Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President of GTTCI; and Mahendra Sharma, Chairperson of GTTC India Myanmar Forum.
Distinguished guests, including Ambassadors and Diplomats from Israel, Iran, Mongolia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Comoros, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Palestine, graced the event, further exemplifying the collaborative spirit between nations. The event culminated in engaging panel discussions focusing on vital topics Myanmar - India Trade & Investment Opportunities & Tourism & Culture and people-to-people connections. Panel discussions provided a comprehensive platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to deliberate on the avenues for fostering robust trade partnerships and strengthening cultural bonds between Myanmar, and India.
