For less than 40% disability, govt plans white UDID card
The ministry of social justice and empowerment proposed draft amendments to the RPwD Act, 2016, suggesting white UDID cards for disabilities below 40%. Following a case of multiple disability certificates obtained by a probationary IAS officer, the ministry aims to eliminate loopholes, introducing a new color-coded system and extending the certification timeline to three months.
