IIT PhD student transfers Rs 4L into accounts of fake cops
A 30-year-old PhD student at IIT campus was scammed by fake police officers from the non-existent 'Fort police station' in Mumbai. The student transferred Rs 4.2 lakh to fraudsters who falsely accused her of illegal money transactions and money laundering.
