Key Decisions Taken in Meeting of Working Journalists of India, Delhi Unit

New Delhi:  Delhi Unit of Working Journalists of India was held at 3 PM at the Union’s office and DNA News office, Milap Bhawan, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, ITO, Press Area Delhi. Keeping the interests of journalists in mind, a well-organized and grand meeting of the All executive members of the Delhi state unit participated. The meeting was chaired by the Union’s National President, Sanjay Upadhyay. National General Secretary Narendra Bhandari, Guardian Officer & Senior Vice President Sanjay Saxena, and National Treasurer Narendra Dhawan were present and guided the Delhi unit members. The meeting was conducted by State General Secretary Devendra Pawar, who also moved the proposals. This Delhi state team continues to work strongly to protect the interests and rights of journalists.

In the meeting, the following important points were discussed and decided upon, keeping journalists’ interests in mind:The executive committee of the Delhi Unit will be expanded.A membership drive will be run by the Union to add new journalist colleagues.A regular meeting of the Delhi Unit’s executive committee will be held at 2 PM on the last Saturday of every month.A high-level committee has been formed to raise the issues and demands of Delhi’s journalists.Separate cells will be created for journalists working in various areas of Delhi and for back-office media staff, to safeguard their interests.Keeping in mind the health of journalists and their families, an Eye Check-up Camp will be organized at the Union office (Press Area).To strengthen journalists’ interests and build effective administrative reach, committees will be formed at the Delhi Assembly constituency level.

Present in the meeting were State President Sandeep Sharma, Senior Vice President Mukesh Madhur, Vice Presidents Swatantra Singh Bhullar, Eesh Malik, Dharmendra Bhadauria, Organizing Secretary Sunil Parihar, Secretaries Preetpal Singh, Rajesh Khanna, Mahesh Dhaundhiyal, Press Secretary Sanjeev Chauhan, and other office bearers. The meeting concluded with State President Sandeep Sharma thanking the central leadership and congratulating all office bearers.
