MS Dr. Vandana Talwar Inaugurated the Special Clinics of Gynae. Oncology

New Delhi :- On International Women’s Day M S Dr.Vandana Talwar, inaugurated the Special Clinics of Gynae. Oncology, Urogynaecology & Parenteral Iron Therapy in the New OPD Block within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital. This was attended by all Additional Medical Superintendents Dr. P.S Bhatia, Dr. Jayanthi Mani, Dr. Kapil Suri, Dr. R.P. Arora & Dr. Vandana Chakravarty and Other HODs also graced the occasion.

Clinic of Gynae Oncology will cater to screening of women for preinvasive & invasive cancers of genital tract. This would include detection of cervical, ovarian, endometrial, vulval & vaginal cancers. It will enable an early diagnosis and timely management of these cancers through a multidisciplinary approach to prevent the morbidity & mortality associated with them. The Urogynaecology Clinic would cater to all kinds of ailments of urinary tract in females including urinary incontinence, genital prolapse and other urinary symptoms, especially in post-menopausal women, with the aim of improving their quality of life. The Parenteral Iron Therapy Clinic will be a designated place to provide the same, to all antenatal women having moderate to severe anaemia needing intravenous iron. Besides, this Specialty clinic will be supported by the presence of separate ultrasound machine for early diagnosis and timely management of antenatal complications.
