NDMC is organising Classical Music Concert to welcome the spring season

New Delhi:- With the upcoming of spring season is going to celebrate the spring season with the series of events like Tulip festival, Music in the Park, Flower Festival, Rose Festival and Food Festival. In the background of new blooming of white and purple Tulips in Nehru Park, NDMC is  welcoming the spring season by organising first concert of the “Music in the Park” series in 2024 in association with SPIC MACAY. 

NDMC invites classical music lovers to  experience  the  beauty  of  Indian  Classical  Music in  harmony  with Nature in the spring season with new blooming Tulips on Saturday, 10th February 2024 at 03:00 pm in Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. The musical evening will start with wonderful performances by Hindustani Flute Recital by Pandit Nityanand Haldipur, accompanied by Mithilesh Kumar Jha on Tabla. Following him, we will have Ustad Shahid Parvez on Sitar, accompanied by Akram Khan on Tabla. The objective behind organization of such programs by NDMC in its area is to upgrade the urban life and deteriorating day by day in metropolitan cities by busy routine life. 

Promotion of Art and Culture is one of the functions of the Council provided under section 12 of NDMC Act-1994. This provision gives the responsibility to Council to bring art and culture out of the confines of museums and auditoria to the open where general public could participate. The entry for the programme at Nehru Park is from Niti Marg and is free for all. The Musical events are held in beautiful serene settings of Nehru Park where audience can enjoy free live performance of renowned and upcoming artists.
