NDMC Chairman inaugurates two days All India Winter Rose Show

New Delhi :- NDMC Chairman  Amit Yadav inaugurated a two days All India Winter Rose Show organised by NDMC in association with The Rose Society of India at India - Africa Friendship Rose Garden in Chankyapuri  New Delhi . Rose Show displayed 70 varieties of Roses through 85 exhibits in 25 categories. More than 200 participants are participating across the country. More than 50 children also participated in the on the Spot Painting Competition on the theme of Roses. The Chairman NDMC gave away the prizes – certificates and trophies to the winners of best judged paintings. Chairman NDMC also launched a souvenir of the Rose Society of India on the occasion.
 

They are very close to nature to cultivate different types of roses for the general public. This exhibition is a result of their long time efforts and is a part of the Rose Movement of the world.  10 Organisations are Participating in the Rose Show. Entire show/Competition has been divided in 22 classes and More than 200 sections/Subsections, wherein an unlimited variety of roses in different colours are being displayed.

 The exhibits are displayed as Pots grown Rose, different classes like Standard, Floribunda, Miniature like Pink, red, apricot, blue, yellow, orange, black, green, bi - colour, strips, blended fragrance and many more. Planter, Cut flower, Value added Rose products and Artistic Bouquets, Button holes, Garlands, Gajrey etc. are also  displayed in the Rose Show. Special attractions of Greenhouse grown Rose and Soil less Roses also displayed.  Along with NDMC, TERI, CPWD, HUDDA, P.G.I CHANDIGARH, IARI - PUSA participated in the Rose competition. Artistic arrangements of Ikebana by OHRA GROUP and more than 100 individuals are participating in the Show. To evaluate the Exhibits, a team of scientists and Rose experts were invited from IARI, NBRI -Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata, Faridabad.
