Taken up case strongly: Indian consulate on dancer's death in US
The Indian consulate in Chicago is investigating the death of Amarnath Ghosh, a Phd student and dancer from Suri in Bengal's Birbhum district. Ghosh was shot dead in St Louis, Missouri. The incident was brought to light by Mumbai-based actor Devoleena Bhattacharjee. Five Indian students have died in separate incidents in the first two months of 2024.
