2 Bangladeshi convicted for '05 train blast that killed 14
Two operatives of the Bangladesh-based Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami (HuJI) were convicted in a 2005 train blast by the Jaunpur court. The blast, which used RDX and resulted in 14 deaths and 61 injuries, had a bomb planted by Hilal and assistance from Nafikul. The two accused were produced before the court after six years of adjournments. The quantum of punishment will be announced on January 2. Four other individuals, including Roni and Obaidur Rahman, were also involved in the case.
