CM Saini Flags Off Pilgrimage Train to Nanded Sahib

New Delhi :-  Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday flagged off a special pilgrimage train from Sirsa to Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded, under the ‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yatra Yojana’.More than 800 devotees from 14 districts are travelling on the train. The CM handed over rail tickets to five pilgrims and interacted with devotees and railway officials before the departure. He also took part in the Ardas ceremony.“Pilgrimages unite society”
Addressing the gathering, CM Saini said pilgrimages connect the younger generation with their roots and culture. “A devotee returns not just after offering prayers, but with renewed energy and awareness,” he said.He noted Sirsa’s link with Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who stayed here in 1706 at Gurudwara Shri Chilla Sahib. The CM said unprecedented work is being done under PM Narendra Modi to preserve religious and cultural heritage. He cited the Swadesh Darshan heritage circuit, Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, and observance of ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ on December 26 to honour Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Sahibzadas.Special train to Somnath on June 8 CM Saini said a special train to Somnath Temple will be flagged off on June 8 under the scheme. Earlier, trains were sent to Ayodhya Dham on March 28 and Nanded on May 5. The scheme provides food, security and all facilities to pilgrims.“No devotee should miss a pilgrimage due to financial hardship,” he said, adding that the state gives assistance of Rs 50,000 for Kailash Mansarovar, Rs 10,000 for Sindhu Darshan, and Rs 6,000 for visits to Hazur Sahib, Nankana Sahib, Hemkund Sahib and Patna Sahib.Land for Chilla Sahib, HSGMC formed
The CM said 70 kanal land has been allotted to Gurudwara Shri Chilla Sahib as announced. He added that the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee was formed in December 2022, giving the Sikh community autonomy in religious affairs.HSGMC President Sardar Jagdish Singh Jhinda lauded the government’s efforts. Earlier, the CM paid obeisance at Gurudwara Chilla Sahib. Former Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal, former MP Smt. Sunita Duggal, and other dignitaries were present.
