CM Rekha Gupta Hands Appointment Letters, Health Cards to NDMC Staff

New Delhi :- 109 get jobs on compassionate grounds, 878 contractual workers to get cashless treatmentNew Delhi, May 15, 2026: Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta on Thursday handed over appointment letters to 109 employees on compassionate grounds and Medical Health Cards to 878 contractual staff at an NDMC function at NDCC Convention Centre.Delhi Minister Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh, New Delhi MP Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, NDMC Chairperson Shri Keshav Chandra, Vice Chairman Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal, and other Council members were present. NDMC is a Family, CM  Calling NDMC a family, CM Gupta said its employees play a vital role in shaping the capital’s image. She said the 109 compassionate appointments offer lifelong support to families of deceased employees. She noted that nearly 90 women were among the appointees and expressed confidence they would contribute to “Viksit Bharat, Viksit Delhi”.

The CM termed the Medical Health Cards for contractual staff under the LMHS scheme a “protective shield” amid rising medical costs. She said the government, under PM Modi, is working with “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” to ensure dignity and essential facilities for all Leaders Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh called the initiatives a step towards social welfare, adding that contractual employees will no longer face financial burden during medical emergencies. He also recalled NDMC’s earlier regularization of 4,400 temporary staff.MP Bansuri Swaraj said the long-pending demands were cleared with sensitivity and reflect “compassionate leadership”.Cashless Treatment for 878 Staff: Chairman NDMC Chairman Shri Keshav Chandra said 878 contractual employees across 38 categories, including engineers, nurses, and clerical staff, will now get cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals. He added that NDMC cleared 954 promotions and MACP benefits to 4,357 employees in 2025-26.Vice Chairman Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal thanked the CM and urged staff to adopt public transport, EVs, and “Make in India” products for a cleaner India.
