New Delhi :- 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025, being held at the Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from November 14-27, 2025. The KVIC has showcased a diverse range of products from the "New Khadi of New India", which has become a global brand under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in Hall No. 6. On Wednesday, Chairman KVIC Shri Manoj Kumar marked a formal visit to the Khadi India Pavilion and interacted with Khadi artisans from various states, entrepreneurs associated with the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), and representatives from the SFURTI clusters, learning about their products, work experiences, and innovations. Through direct interaction with artisans and entrepreneurs, he motivated them to join the Government of India's "Aatmanirbhar Bharat" and "Vocal for Local" campaigns.
While interacting with media, KVIC Chairman Shri Manoj Kumar stated that the Khadi India Pavilion has been designed in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of 'Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar Ghar Swadeshi' and "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat". In all 150 stalls have been set up for the participation of Khadi artisans from Khadi institutions, units established under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and the SFURTI Clusters across the country, showcasing exquisite handicrafts, Khadi, and village industry products. Shri Manoj Kumar also observed the live demonstrations of the indigenous charkha, peti charkha, electric pottery wheel, and the process of extracting crude oil from ghani (oil-based oil).
A major attraction of the Khadi India Pavilion is the podcast studio "Baat Khadi Ki", established this year, a unique initiative of its kind at the entire IITF. In this studio, artisans share their journeys, struggles, achievements, and stories of traditional art in their own voices. This platform presents Khadi not merely as a product, but as an idea, a spirit, and a living tradition. Appreciation set up of the studio, Shri Manoj Kumar said that "Baat Khadi Ki" not only serves as a medium to showcase the true identity of Khadi, but also serves as an excellent example of the fusion of modern technology and traditional art. He further added that this initiative will play a vital role in connecting youth with Khadi, in line with the Prime Minister's vision.
At the Khadi India Pavilion, textiles, cosmetics, rural food, natural beauty products, home-grown handicrafts, bamboo and cane-based products, and traditional carved artifacts are particularly attracting visitors. Pashmina shawls and Kashmiri garments from Jammu and Kashmir are among the pavilion's key attractions. Swadeshi products from Rajasthan, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh such as traditional sweets, pickles, handmade goods, and rural food items, have also generated widespread interest among visitors. Kanchipuram silk sarees from South India, wood carvings from Andhra Pradesh, natural skincare lines from Jharkhand, and Khadi and handloom-based fashion ranges from Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab further enrich the pavilion's diversity. Products like natural honey, organic herbal teas, Ayurvedic cosmetics, and traditional perfumes reflect the modern significance and increasing acceptance of Khadi and village industries.
The participation of the North East states is also a notable feature of the pavilion, where eco-friendly products made from bamboo and cane, such as water bottles, temple lamps, pen-stands, bags, mats, and other useful items, particularly attracted visitors. The pavilion also featured many young and experienced entrepreneurs whose units were established through the PMEGP scheme and now achieving annual turnovers ranging from lakhs to crores of rupees. Chairman KVIC reiterated that this achievement is a strong testament to the effectiveness of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission's policies, the sustainable development of rural entrepreneurship, and the decisive efforts being made towards self-reliance.
Chairman Shri Manoj Kumar stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Khadi has become the most trusted brand in the last 11 years, a reflection of which is clearly visible in the products displayed at the Khadi India Pavilion. Under his visionary leadership, the 'Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar Ghar Swadeshi' and the "Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan" have found a new way. He stated that the 150 stalls at the Khadi India Pavilion showcases India's rich heritage, craftsmanship, and handicrafts, through products manufactured by artisans from various regions of India. Over 40 percent of the stalls are allocated to organizations involved in Khadi production, while the remaining stalls display products from Village Industries, PMEGP, and SFURTI units. He further opined that the Khadi India Pavilion aims to showcase products manufactured by skilled artisans across the country and promote Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's "Vocal for Local" and "Swadeshi Products Available Here" initiatives. The pavilion provides a central platform for artisans to showcase their art.
He further stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the "Khadi Kranti" has taken the Khadi and Village Industries business to over ₹1 lakh 70 thousand in the last 11 years, while providing employment to approximately 2 crore people. KVIC Chairman Shri Manoj Kumar appealed to all the visitors to buy Swadeshi products so that lakhs of artisans associated with KVIC in rural areas get livelihood opportunities and the rural economy can be strengthened
